Jesus it was hot today. I’m not talking Sahara Desert or Death Valley Heat, but wearing body armour, thick woollen trousers, boots and a hat sitting on the top deck of a bus in 80+ degrees heat is not much fun. What is it with this country that we can’t manage the heat? Is it too much to ask for a bit of air conditioning? God forbid one person complains of being chilly while the rest of us are passing out from heat exhaustion! I went to a carvery restaurant on Saturday. Great food, excellent service…but why the feck could they not spend a few quid on having some fans in the place? (or even – shock horror – AIR CONDITIONING!!!) They must have been losing more money in clientel not going, or not returning because of the heat than they would have spent on a few fans.
